Does the orange lens make everything look orange?
The warm tint is noticeable, especially in the first few minutes: whites take on an amber cast. Most people adjust quickly and stop noticing it. For work where colour accuracy is critical (photo editing, professional graphics) we recommend not using filtering lenses while working on colour.
Do these glasses actually work?
We separate facts from promises. The physical data is measurable: the lens blocks 99% of blue light between 400 and 500 nm and 85% between 500 and 530 nm. As for the subjective effects of wearing filtering glasses, scientific research is still ongoing and the results are debated: we make no health claims.
Glasses or my screen's night mode — which is better?
Software modes (Night Shift, f.lux) shift the white balance but only partly lower the blue output, and they do nothing about the TV, signage or other screens around you. A physical lens filters everything you look at, with known, measurable percentages. You can also combine the two.
Are they available with prescription lenses?
No, SAFEBLUE Classic comes only with a plano (non-prescription) lens. If you normally wear glasses, you can use SAFEBLUE over contact lenses. For prescription options, speak to your local optician.
Can I wear them all day?
You can, but they're designed above all for the evening hours and artificially lit indoor spaces. During the day, with plenty of natural light, the warm tint is simply less useful. Don't wear them for driving at night: like any tinted lens, they lower perceived brightness.

How do I clean the lenses?
Use the microfibre cloth included, with lukewarm water and a drop of mild soap if needed. Avoid solvents, alcohol and abrasive fabrics, which can damage the lens.
